The most rewarding of experiences isn't

Nor is it

Or  studying, travelling and unravelling some of this world’s secrets…

The most rewarding & beautiful of experiences will always be Motherhood;

an experience that is born at the moment of conception

an experience that is beyond any poetic description...

As I complete my 30th year, I’d like to remind myself of at least 30 realizations I’ve made in the past 11 months. Coincidentally, there are 30 days until my birthday, so there is plenty of time for me to work on that list of 30 realizations/affirmations. What an assuring numerological coincidence though.

1. You no longer cry in public & do it more often in private; alone.

2. You realize that you are no longer a “child” of your...

Your worst nightmare happened to me; I ran out of data connection and the home wifi needed renewal!

This is about how to make you feel the solitude of your isolation....

I haven’t done (all) TEN things whilst I was “out of contact” but this post is inspired by this circumstance (I’m thinking: this could totally be useful when there’s an apocalypse):

1. Write down what you intended to type/communicate/express/post…

2. Write.

3. Wr...

15 November 2017- Cairo, Egypt

There are only 24HRs in a day, but these hours are made up of what could be priceless moments...

I couldn’t sleep. Thinking. So many things, ideas, thoughts and whatever you call it came to my head. Can I address all of them in one post? Probably shouldn’t, it would be too long….

First and for most, let’s stick to the moment, now… “working” at this hour, realizing that there’s yet another l...

YOGA! I’ve been wanting to start doing it for AGES now… I just did! No video. Nothing… I just went with the flow and it felt great! A long awaited good stretch, is exactly what I needed! I think if I just “stretch” every day for 10 – 15 minutes around 3 times a day (too optimistic) it would be REALLY good for my body. I’ve seen those yogi bodies on Instagram and I so want to be them! Gym has proven so difficult on so many leve...

I need to write/ communicate and I haven’t properly done that since probably 17th Sep. 2017… That’s when I came back to Cairo from Amman.

I want to stop, convince myself that I have a writer’s block, because I do not want to end up pouring out what I wouldn’t want to admit just because I’m going with the flow… of writing whatever.

I guess I decided to write because I’ve just realized how, despite autocorrect, that I am sudd...

If you were a mum, like myself, then “salon time” is a rare (once in a couple of weeks) occasion of “leisure time”. Funny that prior Motherhood, I never looked at this subject in the same perspective.  It was rather “buffer time” between me and whichever place I was going to after the salon; the time you spend running your outfit for the night through your mind, scrolling down your Facebook newsfeed, and frequently replying-to...

How many times have you done something daring, in your lifetime? If you're in the age range of 25-35 then you should have/probably have had experienced this extreme rush of adrenaline, at least a handful of times.

Now before the mind drifts off to borderline territories, below is a list of such "experience":

  1. Pregnancy. From the moment of conception (seeing that double red line), to hearing the first beat of a heart that is g...

I have never, ever, not in Ayla's 3 years, 5 months, and 18 days of age; communicated with her in Arabic.

Because at some point, it's been said that children with parents of different mother-tongue  (or is it parents from different background/nationality/ethnicity/history/ etc.), should strictly speak to the child in their mother tongue.

I am at wonder as to how I rationalized/neutralized that advice!

I think Ayla was b...
